July 2021 | Market Review

Market conditions have remained vibrant over the last month, heightened further by the impending phasing out of the stamp duty holiday. New records continue to be reported including a third of properties being sold above their initial asking price.

New search criteria in a post-Covid market remain a key factor in driving demand in and around Witney, including increased levels of relocation, with buyers seeking more internal and external space for their money. In many cases, this is due to lifestyle changes such as working from home, moving closer to family, or simply getting away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Nationwide building societies have reported the highest rise in price growth for almost seven years, putting the average price of a house in Britain at £242,832.

Properties continue to fly off the shelves and there is a significant increase in off-market viewings so if you are considering selling and would like to make the most of current demand, or you are looking to buy, please contact one of our branch partners, Duncan Macmillan, or Simon Daughton.
