Reviewing property news that caught the eye

2015 is almost at an end and during that time and as in preceding years, we have tried to produce interesting articles and helpful information about the property market and related businesses and professions. Some ideas for our regular blog are original and others developed from news sources and property journals, with our particular slant put on them. Many of these articles rarely reach the public at large, but can affect everyone involved with property.

Many of our news items have been light hearted, but some far more serious. We have frequently referred to and been critical of mortgage lenders, stamp duty thresholds, government legislation, lawyers and online agents to name but a few. Conversely there have been pieces on how property values may have been affected by hauntings, bats and birdsong. Problems associated with downsizing, upsizing, auctions, buying French style, American style, local mobile signals strengths and many more.

All our blogs are available in the archive section on our home page. We will continue to bring you property news next year and suggest that you might also consider logging on to our facebook page. It would be good to have you on board and if you do, don’t forget to “like” us.

Please call the office if you have a moment to arrange that crucial New Year valuation. It is going to be an interesting year ahead with many possibilities concerning, prices, values, interest rates and volume. So why not be ready and prepared to move!
On behalf of all the staff, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Martyn Cox FNAEA
